Hello from the road, boys and girls!  I just finished a show in Eden, Utah where I opened for Eric Heatherly and it was SUCH a good time.  Don’t get me wrong…I love Tennessee but I didn’t mind trading in 100-degree weather for cool mornings and nights and no humidity.  I’d like to thank everyone; the fans, concert promoters, Wolf Mountain Resort, Eric Heatherly and the guys, and everyone else who was so hospitable.  I felt like I was right at home.  The show started with great energy and then by the end of the evening, almost everyone was out on the dance floor.  It was like a block party meets a super fun wedding reception.  I wish I would have taken a bunch of pictures of the house we got to stay in.  Big screen TV’s, it could sleep 14, big hot tub, upstairs deck, gorgeous panoramic view…I could go on forever.  I think there is going to have to be a ski trip planned in my real near future.  Definitely look forward to getting’ back out that way soon.

Hey everyone!  I just got back from Wisconsin on another great trip.  On August 8th I sponsored Russ Blakeley’s Super Late Model car and Jesse Wilcox’s Late Model car in the ASA Midwest Tour stockcar race in Kaukauna.  What a great time!  Thanks to everyone who supported the release of my debut CD.  Also sponsoring the cars, was Hype, an energy drink based out of Spain.  It was a blast meeting the race fans, signing autographs, and drinking all the Hype I could get.  Needless to say, it was difficult getting to sleep that night.  Hehe.  But it kept me awake for the long drive back to Palmyra, Wisconsin.  Anyway, anyone who has never seen a stockcar race in person, is definitely missing out.  I highly recommend to those who haven’t seen a race to pack your squishy seat cushion and ear plugs and buy some tickets at your nearest speedway.

Drivers, start your engines!!!!!!!!!!!

Usually I don’t like to talk about personal things…problems, issues, etc.  But my manager was telling me that in this case, it would be a good thing to share because there may be others out there with similar frustrations.  Recently, I noticed some weight gain despite religiously following the South Beach diet and an exercise regimen.  A friend suggested I go to the doctor and look into a condition called PCOS, Polycystic Ovary Syndrome.  She told me that doctors are just starting to learn about the syndrome and that I would probably need to tell the doctor, specifically, that I was interested in being tested for it.

Well, low and behold, I was diagnosed with PCOS.  Though I don’t know a lot about it yet, I have learned that it is a lifelong condition that, with treatment, can be managed and the symptoms can be relieved.  It tends to be known as a pre-diabetic condition that can cause women to produce too much insulin or the insulin they produce doesn’t work as it should.

The reason for writing this blog is that I’d like to get some of this information out there.  I encourage all women to look into it a little because it’s more common than anyone realizes.  For more information, you can go to www.womentowomen.com  We need to stick together and help each other out, ladies!

Well, here is my very first blog on my brand new website!  For those of you who know me best, you know this has been a long time coming.  So many details to work out…who knew?!  Anyway, I hope you’re enjoying the site and having no problems navigating it.  (This is very important to me since I tend to have some difficulties in the computer department.)  Thank God for the computer techy chatrooms.

As you can see, I have just released my freshman album titled, “Here And There.”  I figured it was a fitting name to describe this compilation of songs.  Some I’ve written and some I’ve come across in my 5 years of living in Nashville.  This project is very close to my heart because it is a collection of words that represent a journey.  Journey…”a traveling from one place to another; trip.”  Everyone has been “Here And There.”  Because it means failure, successes, puppy love, moving on, who you were and who you are now.  Journey to me is, at times, confusion, worry, than confidence, loving, being right and sometimes very wrong, but most importantly, living!  I hope everyone can take at least a piece of truth from my music and feel understood, even if it is for just one moment.

Thank you so much for your love and support!  Hope you make a couple of trips back for a listen.  Oh, and TELL ALL YOUR FRIENDS!
